I have repriced My Souk to exclude 200g Maftoul so that it will still be possible to buy one of everything else. It does make a very nice gift.

As you may have noticed, the stock I ordered last week has all but been sold. It is difficult to estimate the quantities but I have placed another order and would hope to receive this later this week.

Stock has been delivered today. I’ll shortly be updating the website with quantities. Unfortunately Zaytoun did not received 200g boxes of Maftoul – to be honest it is something of a miracle that any supplies got through at all! I am unlikely to have 200g Maftoul until January/February.

Today, I donated the profits from the last year financial year ended 5 April 2022 being £301, to MAP Medical Aid for Palestinians. I decided to give it all to MAP this year, particularly after receiving this email:
I wanted to let you know that I am fully stocked with all the normal sizes of goods. I only get the larger sizes if you write requesting them, for example 5L Olive Oil, 5Kg Maftoul and 5Kg Almonds.
I have reduced the price of three items to cost; they reached their Best Before Date in late June:
New stock is expected around the middle of next week.

Today I have donated the profits of £390 from the last accounting year ended 31 March 2022:
£203 was donated to Zaytoun’s Trees for Life project enabling 50 olive trees to be planted. The olive saplings are distributed to farmers and planted in Palestine, on an annual basis, every January.
£195 was donated to MAP, Medical Aid for Palestinians. MAP’s vision is a future where all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable and locally-led system of healthcare, and the full realization of their rights to health and dignity.

Once my supplier has stocks of Medjoul Dates I will be putting in an order which should be around the end of November.
So now is a good time to order larger sizes which I do not carry in stock, such as 5L olive oil and 5kg maftoul, and which I can order in especially for you.
The 150g packets of almonds have gone over their ‘best before’ date so I am selling existing stocks at cost price. They will be withdrawn when fresh stocks are bought at the end of November.
